My first self-published work is a reflection on my favored pastime - walking. The pages are inhabited by the fragments of an urban landscape, skyscraper gardens, dog walkers, birds, and other creatures that hide among the weeds. Fantasy and thoughts mingle in sometime, and get scattered among the disobedient lines of ink - my beloved artistic media for many years. It may look that the sequence of drawings is forming a narrative, but in fact it's a collection of unrelated images created under varied circumstances of my life in Japan, the oldest drawing dating around 2010 and only a couple of images produced specifically for this book.

日々描き続けているドローイングを「ウォーキング」をテーマに、写真では伝わりにくい世界観も盛り込みまとめています。街を散策する中で目にする都市景観の断片、超高層ビルの庭園、犬と散歩する人、鳥たちや雑草に潜む生き物…私の視点を通して街の息遣いが見えてくるようです。画材には、長年好んできた墨を使用し、その不均一なインクの線の中に空想と思考が交錯し広がっていきます。一連のドローイングは一見すると物語のようでありながら、私の日常の中で生まれた無作為なイメージの集積です。2010年頃のドローイングに始まり、この作品集のために2枚の作品を描き下ろしています。
